PDLC film installation
PDLC switchable film is applied to the inside face of your existing glass and wired to a low-voltage driver. Here is what a professional installation involves, and where it needs an electrician.
How PDLC film is installed
First the glass is surveyed and measured so the film can be cut and wired to the exact pane at our factory. On site, the glass is cleaned thoroughly and the self-adhesive film is applied bubble-free to the inside face.
The copper bus bars on the film are then connected to a driver, which steps mains voltage down to the 48 to 65V AC the film runs on. The driver links to a wall switch, remote or app, and every panel is tested before handover.

This is not really a DIY job. Bubble-free application, bus-bar connection and the mains-to-driver wiring all need the right tools and an electrician. A poor fit shows as bubbles, dead zones or edge failure. We install pan-India, or supply film and guidance to the trade.

How is PDLC film installed?
The film is cut to your pane, applied bubble-free to the inside face of the glass, and its bus bars are wired to a driver that powers it from a switch, remote or app. It is then tested before handover.
Can I install PDLC film myself?
We do not recommend it. Bubble-free application and the driver wiring need the right tools and an electrician; a poor fit fails at the edges. We install pan-India, or supply film with guidance to fabricators.
Does PDLC film need an electrician?
Yes. The film runs on 48 to 65V AC from a driver wired to the mains, so the electrical connection should be done by a qualified electrician.
How long does PDLC film installation take?
A single cabin or window is often a same-day job. Larger partitioned floors are phased so the space stays usable, and most projects finish within a week of order.
What is needed to power PDLC film?
A driver (transformer) that steps mains voltage down to 48 to 65V AC, plus a control, which can be a wall switch, RF remote or Wi-Fi module.
