Electric smart film for windows
Yes, there is an electric switchable film you can apply to existing windows. It bonds to the glass you already have and turns from clear to private at the flick of a switch. It is manufactured and installed across India.
How window smart film works
Electric smart film for windows is self-adhesive PDLC film. It is cut to your pane, applied to the inside face of the existing glass, and wired to a small driver hidden in the frame or ceiling. A switch, remote or app then turns it clear or private.
Because it applies to glass you already own, it is the fastest and most affordable way to add privacy to a window without replacing the glazing.

For external, sun-exposed windows we usually recommend laminated smart glass rather than retrofit film, because sustained UV ages surface film faster. See skylights and façades.

Is there an electric smart film for windows?
Yes. Electric PDLC smart film applies to existing window glass and switches from clear to private with a switch, remote or app. It draws a small low-voltage current only while clear.
Is smart glass available in India?
Yes. PDLC smart glass and film are manufactured in India and installed pan-India, including a free site survey in and around our branch cities.
Can I put smart film on my existing windows?
Yes, for dry internal windows the adhesive film applies directly to your existing glass. Wet areas and sun-exposed external windows are better served by laminated smart glass.
Can smart film be used on outdoor-facing windows?
It can, but for elevations in direct sun we recommend laminated glass with UV inhibitors, as surface film ages faster under sustained ultraviolet exposure.
