Why PDLC film is not cheap
PDLC film has a real material floor. Each sheet carries a transparent ITO conductive coating on both faces, a precisely dispersed liquid-crystal layer, and UV-stable adhesives. None of that is cheap to make, and most film sold in India is converted from imported base material.
Quotes far below the market band usually mean thinner, less uniform ITO or adhesives without UV inhibitors. That film can yellow, haze or fail at the edges within three to five years, so the low price is often more expensive over the life of the building.
